Friends of Scouting is an annual direct-solicitation campaign, reaching out to Scout families, individuals in the community, service organizations and businesses. Friends of Scouting is one of the council’s largest sources of income (21%). Additionally, eight United Way and United Funds recognize the value of Scouting and provide 12% of the council’s annual budget. Over 84% of funds raised are dedicated to program.
It costs $153 to provide one year of quality program for each Scout. We encourage all units to have a family Friends of Scouting presentation. Please contact your District Executive to set up a date and time.
